Book a Montana Fly Fishing Trip
Booking a fly fishing trip in Southwest Montana isn’t about choosing one river months in advance. This region is a system of freestones, spring creeks, and stillwaters that all fish differently depending on flows, weather, water clarity, and time of year.
We don’t guide a river. We guide a system of rivers. When you book a date with Swan’s Fly Fishing, you’re booking local experience and conditions-first planning. We choose the right water for your skill level and the kind of day you want, then we adjust as conditions change.
Not sure where to fish?
That’s normal. Tell me your dates, where you’re staying, and your experience level, and I’ll recommend the best options.

Winter Spring Creek SpecialReserve Your Date
Whether it’s a float on the Yellowstone, a technical day on the Paradise Valley spring creeks, or a winter trip on Harrison Reservoir, the plan is built around conditions, not a preset itinerary.
Book online in minutes, or call/text if you want to talk through timing, runoff, and what will fish best during your visit.

Cancellations & Changes
We understand that travel plans, weather, and river conditions can change. Our cancellation policy is designed to be fair, flexible, and realistic for fishing in Montana.
- A 50% deposit is required to hold your date
- Deposits are fully refundable up to 30 days prior to your trip
- Trips canceled within 30 days may forfeit the deposit unless the day can be rebooked

Weather & River Conditions
Fishing conditions are part of the experience in Montana, and flexibility matters.
- If weather, runoff, or river conditions make fishing unsafe or unproductive, we will reschedule, shift fisheries, or refund if no good option exists
- Decisions about weather and water are made with you, not unilaterally
- We do not force trips on bad days just to keep a date on the calendar
Winter & Shoulder Season Trips
- Winter and early-season trips are booked with extra flexibility
- If winter conditions turn quickly, trips can be moved without penalty
- If you wake up and conditions aren’t right, we can adjust or cancel without hard feelings
- Payment for winter trips is typically taken the day of the trip
No-Show Policy
No-shows or same-day cancellations without communication may forfeit the full trip rate. A quick call or text goes a long way.
