Winter Spring Creek Special
DePuy’s & Armstrong’s · Paradise Valley · Livingston, Montana
Quiet Water · Technical Fishing · Best Winter Value
Winter is one of the best seasons on the Paradise Valley spring creeks. The water stays steady, the crowds thin out, and trout settle into slow, predictable winter lanes. If you enjoy quiet, technical fishing and clean drifts, this is when these creeks really shine.
This is the kind of day people book for the experience and the challenge, not because everything needs to be easy. Soft light, calm water, and time to fish at a slower, more focused pace.
Why Winter on the Spring Creeks Is So Good
Winter strips the creeks down to what matters: water clarity, trout position, and presentation. Without the summer pace and pressure, you get room to slow down, fish well, and actually see what’s happening.
Most guests walk away saying the same thing: it felt like a private lesson and a great fishing day at the same time.
What the day feels like
- Quiet water and very light angling pressure
- More time on each run and each fishy lane
- Cleaner drifts and more deliberate presentations
- Warm-up breaks built into the pacing
- Coaching that makes spring creeks click
Why it’s reliable
- Stable, spring-fed flows
- Consistent water temperatures
- Predictable winter holding water
- Clear water and sight opportunities when conditions line up

Winter Rate: $550 (All-Inclusive)
This winter special includes the full guided day and the private ranch rod fee for DePuy’s or Armstrong’s. It’s one simple, all-in price. In other seasons, spring creek trips require an additional rod fee paid to the ranch. In winter, I take care of that for you.
