Late Winter & Early Spring Fly Fishing Special
Fish the Yellowstone River, Paradise Valley spring creeks, and the Lower Madison during one of the best booking windows of the year. Fewer crowds, flexible scheduling, and access to the right water for the conditions make this one of the easiest ways to get a strong day on the calendar. This Late Winter & Early Spring Special runs through April 16, 2026.

This special is built around how we actually guide. You reserve a day, then we match the best option to your date, weather window, flows, and goals. It is less rigid than peak season booking and usually gives us better room to make a smart decision.
This time of year deserves more attention than it usually gets. If you want the bigger picture behind this window, pairing this page with the seasonal blog content gives you a better read on how we think about conditions and timing.
Where We Fish for This Special Rate
Yellowstone River
A very good choice for anglers who want a classic float through Paradise Valley with moving water, changing structure, and a real shot at a strong late winter or early spring day.
Paradise Valley Spring Creeks
Technical dry fly and nymph fishing on some of the best private water in Montana. During this special, participating spring creek access fees are included in the rate.
Lower Madison River
A dependable backup or primary choice when the Yellowstone or spring creeks are not the best fit. The Lower Madison gives us another productive late winter and spring option with strong timing.
Spring creek access included: for the Late Winter and Early Spring Special, participating spring creek access fees are included in the trip rate. Standard private water fees apply outside the special rate dates.

How to Dress for Late Winter & Early Spring
Dress in layers. Mornings are usually cool, and most days warm up as the day goes on.
- Wool or synthetic base layers
- Light insulation layer
- Rain jacket or wind shell
- Hat, sunscreen, and sunglasses
- Polarized sunglasses if you have them
Avoid cotton when possible. Think spring skiing layers that you can peel off as the day warms up.
