Matt has guided full-time across the Lower 48 for more than twenty-five years, from Appalachian trout streams to western freestones and tailwaters. Since settling in Southwest Montana, he has become a dedicated Yellowstone River and Paradise Valley spring creek watershed specialist, focusing on reading water, seasonal changes, and teaching anglers how to fish technical currents with clarity and confidence.
He is an FFI Casting Instructor and a graduate of FOAM’s Guiding for the Future program. Matt guides year-round and also leads winter ice-fishing trips on Harrison Reservoir, bringing decades of broad fishing experience into both warm- and cold-season guiding. His calm, steady instruction makes every day productive and approachable for beginners and seasoned anglers alike.
